Dana Features Optimized Tire-Pressure Management Technology for Military Vehicles at 2015 AUSA Annual Meeting
Driveline Technologies for Advanced Military Vehicles Also Highlighted

WASHINGTON, Oct. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Dana Holding Corporation (NYSE: DAN) will showcase its enhanced tire-management technologies this week at the Association of the United States Army's Annual Meeting.

Located in booth 6642, Dana will showcase its industry-leading Spicer® central tire inflation system (CTIS), which is designed to enhance the safety and performance of government defense fleets.  This technology will be integrated into the new Joint Light Tactical Vehicles to be manufactured by Oshkosh Corporation for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps.  Dana has been a longstanding leader in tire-pressure optimization with decades of experience building tire-pressure management technology for the U.S. military.

Spicer CTIS technology maximizes vehicle mobility by allowing operators to adjust tire pressure from inside the cab to the optimum footprint on any terrain.  This innovative system also allows vehicles to operate effectively with extremely low tire pressure, transporting soldiers to safety in the most strenuous environments.

Also, Dana was recently selected to supply Navistar Defense with key components for Medium Tactical Vehicles (MTVs) purchased by the U.S. Army Contracting Command for use by the Afghanistan National Security Force's MTV Fleet.  The trucks will feature SPL® heavy-duty driveshafts, which are designed to efficiently handle heavy loads over long hauls, as well as Spicer® Compact™ Series driveshafts, which offer best-in-class torque capacity in a durable, lightweight design.  Based on Navistar's International® WorkStar®/7000-MV severe service vocational truck platform, deliveries of the MTVs will begin in January 2016.

"For more than 100 years, Dana has been a trusted supplier of vehicle components for the military and defense industries," said Mark Wallace, executive vice president of Dana and group president of Dana's On-Highway Driveline Technologies.  "Our tire-management and driveline technologies have been proven to be reliable, durable components that are able to withstand the demanding environments where military vehicles operate."

Dana's history of support for the U.S. military dates to World War I with the development of the Liberty Truck and production of four-wheel-drive-truck axles, universal joints, and anti-aircraft shells.  In World War II Dana earned the Army-Navy "E" Award for "high achievement in the production of war equipment," including the four-wheel-drive system for the Jeep – an advanced version of which it continues to produce more than seven decades later.  It has also supplied products for the HMMWV since 1983.
